From June through September, we invite curious mind of all ages 16 and above, to join a community of unlike-minded people brought together by a common desire to expand their knowledge and perspectives. The only prerequisite is a willingness to learn, an openness to engaging with different viewpoints, and a genuine sense of curiosity!
Over the course of the summer, we will read around one book each week spanning a wide range of subjects and disciplines. The reading list will move across classics and contemporary literature, philosophy, psychology, politics, art, music, theatre, culture, and other thought-provoking works that encourage reflection and discussion. The aim is not just to complete books, but to engage with ideas, ask questions, challenge assumptions, encounter new perspectives, and think more deeply about the world around us. You can take on as many books as you like - no commitment restrictions!
Each week, participants will gather virtually for open discussions where we will question, deliberate, interpret, and learn from one another. This is intended to be a space for shared academic curiosity rather than rigid academic pressure. It is completely okay if you do not finish every reading! What matters most is a willingness to engage, listen, contribute, and grow alongside others who are equally curious.
If there is sufficient interest, we also hope to invite professors, scholars, artists, writers, and experts in relevant fields to occasionally join us and help facilitate discussions connected to texts in their areas of expertise.
The Book Club is completely free to join, fully virtual, and open to participants from anywhere in the world. Whether you are already an avid reader or simply someone looking to spend the summer learning in community with others, we would love to have you join us!
